A Busy Night at Lawrence Council
This year the first fifth Thursday in the first quarter falls on Thursday 30th March, that is the night when  Lawrence Council, meeting at Chorley holds their Installation meeting, as you can appreciate this is a changeable date.
Bill welcome Patrick
Welcoming the District Grand Junior Warden Alan Comber, the Master of Lawrence Council Bill Bruce expressed his appreciation for his visit hoping he and all those attending would enjoy a busy night of Allied Masonry.

Before any further business could be conducted a knock came from the door, who could this be, a member delayed by traffic?, a surprise guest, Paul Snape the District Prefect, Bill Bruce welcomed him to the meeting, then another knock on the door, another member delayed by traffic ?, you may have guessed, none other than the Grand Master Tom Jackson, Bill Bruce welcomed him to the meeting, when all where settled off we go.

First up Patrick Martindale was balloted for as a member for Introduction to the Order.
 
He was then Admitted into the Degree of St. Lawrence the Martyr, the ceremony was carried by the Master Bill Bruce, the Lecture was presented by Geoff Catterall.

Before Patrick took his seat in the Council, Alan Comber District Grand Junior Warden  welcomed him to the Order, he also commenting on the high standard of the Ceremony.

The next business was the Installation as Master of Bro. David Hooley; the Ceremony of Installation was carried out excellently by the Master Bill Bruce.
Following the Installation Ceremony Alan Comber District Grand Junior Warden congratulated David Hooley on becoming Master of Lawrence Council, wishing him well for the future he also congratulated W.Bro. Bill Bruce for his work since his Installation in January 2020 and for the high standard of both Ceremonies.

In reply W.Bro. David Hooley thanked the District Grand Junior Warden for his generous comments inviting him and all present to join him later at dinner.
